I've spent a lifetime painting, drawing, crafting and sculpting. For education I have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Painting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a minor in Architecture, from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. And somewhere in between earning those two degrees I spent a year studying Illustration and Animation at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Acrylic paint is my preferred medium. I primarily work on canvas, but also paint on wood and paper.
My inspiration is derived from the world around me and fueled by my imagination. I mostly create from within--that is I don't usually work from real life but rather invent my compositions. Buildings and cityscapes have long fascinated me. I enjoy exaggerating the angles of buildings and building elements and ramping up color intensity.

I strive to give my paintings a feeling of movement and fluidity. All of these elements come together to form a sort of "visual jazz."
